The Beginning

The first Prototype.

In the past, the scientist known as Alban had a beautiful wife and a cute
child called Mathis. They all had a peaceful and happy life.
Alban worked for an important company named Corps. He was a scientist
there and his job consisted in finding how to create artificial organs for
people who needed them. He worked very hard to save as many life as
possible. His wife was very proud of him and they never had any financial
problems.

Mathis was a very smart, clever and limber boy. He always had the best
marks at school and didn't care if other children hated him. The most
important thing for him was to make his parents proud of him. He took
dance courses and did yoga too.

One day, Alban took his son to the museum. There was an exhibition
about contortion, waist cinching and medical issues caused by being too
flexible. Mathis loved to go to the museum with his beloved father. These
outgoings with his father were rather rare since Alban was always very
busy. So Mathis really enjoyed this day a lot.
Unfortunately, while they were at the museum, Alban's wife, who was
coming home from her shopping, had an accident. She had been hit by a
car and died on the spot. She was transported to the nearest hospital but
it was too late, she couldn't be saved. Alban was called and heard that his
wife was dead. Both Alban and Mathis were crushed by this news.

A year later, Mathis fell sick. He had an illness that had never been seen
before. His father didn't know what to do. Mathis saw a great number of
doctors and specialists but none of them was able to say what was
wrong with the young boy. The only thing they could say was that Mathis
had a heart problem, that his heart was beating slower and slower and
that if it continued like this, Mathis would die.
Alban didn't want his son to die, he already had lost his wife and couldn't
loose his soon as well. He loved him way too much to be able to let him
go. So he stopped working for Corps Company and started to work by his
own. He hired some scientists and students in medicine to help him. He
wanted to created an artificial heart that could save his son.

But Mathis died suddenly of a heart attack. The artificial heart had not
been tested on any animals or human beings, so it was the very first time
something like this was done. Alban held Mathis, placed him on the
surgical table and effectuated the replacement of his son's heart. He
replaced it with the artificial one and Mathis came back to life. But Alban
waited too long after Mathis' death and his brain had been damaged. He
lost his entire memory, like if it has been totally erased. Alban had saved
his son, but this son he loved more than anything else didn't even
recognize him.

Since then, Alban lives with a son who doesn't know he actually is his real
father. The scientist tries to bring Mathis' memory back by doing tests on him,
but he needs persons for his experiments, but of course nobody wants to
become a guinea pigs so Alban has to find some by his own.
