Shenthi Helhevethy

Shenthi is a young priest from a village in the mountain where the climate is rather cold.
It sometimes snows early in the year and since his very childhood Shenthi always loved
to play outside with the spirit foxes that would come in winter at dawn in the monastery
garden. They would bounce in the cold and shiny snow, making little footprints on the
white powdery surface. Shenthi would sit on the wooden terrace, a silky cushion under
his butt, and he would look happily at the cute vulpine playing around. They would play
for a few minutes and then would come to the young priest, climb up on the terrace and
lay next to him, asking to be cuddled. These white foxes would only appear to Shenthi or
for special events in the monastery or in the village, for festivals and Winter summonings.
Otherwise they would hide to the rest of the world. But Shenthi had always been special
and he could see and summon such spirits or even other uncommon deities. 

The monastery looks like the ones during the Edo period in Japan. A bridge like this one

monastery is huge and full of flowers, trees and blossom bushes that resist perfectly to
the cold. There is even a beautiful small lake with sacred fishes in it. The enclosure of
the garden is protected by a stone wall with tiling on top of it so nobody can climb on the
wall to enter the monastery without permission. Shenthi lives in there, he has his own
room where he can rest and do things such as painting, one of his main passion, he also
sings beautifully and even play the shamisen, a traditional Japanese instrument, and he
has something very precious to the village and the inhabitants of the monastery that
makes him the most important person here and he is sometimes compared to a god.
He practices waist cinching, the art of the Deities, as the monks would say. 

Shenthi started this godly art at the age of three, when he started playing with his
waist, tying all sort of clothes around his belly and would squeeze it tight to make it
smaller and smaller. The sensation of the soft silky clothes around his waist would
make him feel comfy and peaceful. He would even sometimes tie something soft
tight around his waist and would fall asleep like this. His mother would find him
resting in the middle of the living room and would carry him to his bed, letting the
tied piece of cloth around him. This would happen quite often and so his waist
became smaller and smaller with time. This wouldn't hurt at all since Shenthi did
this at a very young age and continued to do it even after growing. So he's used to
it and it never hurt him to tie tight things around his waist. It would even make him
feel better because thepressure would make him feel alive. And down the years,
Shenthi's waist became the most beautiful thing to look at, a precious diamond that
was admired by everyone. 

In the monastery, and in the village as well, having a very small waist was like being
a Deity, because only Deities had the privilege to train enough for this art that demands
years of hard training and a lot of patience. So when the villagers saw that Shenthi was
training for that without even understanding what he was doing exactly, because he
started very young and just did that because he enjoyed it a lot, found it fun and
beautiful, they all praised him and considered him as a very respectable and noble
person. They would even say that Shenthi was blessed by the Gods. So Shenthi's
family became the most popular and respected family in the whole country and even
further. People from other countries were coming for the Summer Festival of the village
to see Shenthi performing some beautiful and slow motion dances while having a gold
cincher around the waist. He would start with large clothes that would hide his waist
and would little by little undress to make his so pretty and tiny waist visible. And
everybody would stare and admire this so beautiful young man with his gold cincher,
dancing in rhythm with the slow and hypnotizing music. 

Shenthi lives in the monastery but his parents still live in the village in a very pretty
house. He comes everyday to pay a visit to his beloved family and spend a lot of time
in the gardens with the little foxes and friendly spirits, with his gold cincher around his
waist, that is a present from his parents who ordered it from a well known jeweler in the
country. They wanted something simple but very beautiful that would make Shenthi look
special and unique. So the jeweler crafted a gold cincher with a stone on it, a beautiful a
rare garnet of an impressive size and purity with wonderful and unique tones and reflects.
This is a gift Shenthi cherishes a lot and wears in everyday life with his soft beautiful and
velvet purple dress.
